This CupStarter has been initiated to install and promote the Cup Exchange (TCX) Exchangeable Coffee Cup service at 525 Collins Street (The Rialto).
Successfully deploying the TCX service requires co-ordination across a number of entities, including: Tenants, Cafes, Building Management (including cleaning operators) and TCX. To that end, TCX has created the “CupStarter Program”, essentially a crowdsourcing platform that enables each party to register their interest and when the minimum criteria is reached (tenants and cafes) and with approval from the facility manager, the “CupStarter” program goes live, and TCX deploys the system.
The building will be enabled through the on-site and nearby cafes. TCX Exchangeable Cups can be collected, exchanged and returned directly to the cafes. TCX Drop Boxes will also be installed for after-hours Cup returns.
Tenants at Rialto
In order to have enough scale, TCX requires an anchor tenant to commit to transitioning towards “paper cup freedom” with the aim of removing disposable single-use coffee cups from the premises. Tenants can kickstart the TCX program by sponsoring 2-month pre-paid TCX Memberships for staff. After the kickstart, staff can decide to continue with the TCX service with a TCX Personal Plan at their discretion.
To that end, TCX will liaise with the Building Management and the tenant(s) to facilitate the transition to a “paper cup free” working environment.
The program includes a transition to becoming “paper cup free”. TCX provides tenant education & communication support through the duration of the kickstart period covered by the Sponsorship program purchase.
